Ms. Cidalia Faria
Cidalia is an Assistant Crown Attorney in the Ministry of the Attorney General for the Toronto-Downtown Crown's Office currently conducting serious criminal prosecutions as well as managing case files. She has specialized experience in Domestic Violence and successfully participated in the Retroactive DNA Project for the Toronto Region. Prior to her experience in criminal work as both crown and defence, Cidalia also did constitutional research and litigation.
Cidalia has been extensively involved in community initiatives focusing on the promotion of civic participation, education, race relations, gender equality, the health sector, and in a number of Portuguese Canadian community organizations such as the Portuguese Canadian Lawyers Association (PCLA), the Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business Professionals (FPCBP), and the Portuguese Canadian National Congress (PCNC).
Cidalia earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Politics as well as her Law degree from Queen's University. She also obtained a Masters degree in Law from Osgoode Hall in Constitutional Law with an Equality specialty.
